Suzanne Wheatley is a photographer based in Sussex and working everywhere.
In 2007 I bought my first proper camera - a Nikon D40 - for an incredible trip to South America. I became SuzyRed on Flickr. My photograph of the Christmas Eve Market in Cusco, Peru, was published in National Geographic’s Food Journeys of a Lifetime book (reprinted in 2023 - see the photo on my Contact page) and my love of photography became a permanent fixture in my life.
Fast forward a few years of collecting experiences and ideas, and I get to photograph the things I love most - music and people, adding a few beautiful landscape views along the way. As an oboist, I love nothing more than immersing myself in the middle of all things musical, looking for the best angles and beats to capture. And a corporate career in recruitment and learning & development has me hooked on discovering, empowering and showcasing people as their most authentic selves.
The D40 has long since gone (thanks, old friend), but I am still found with a Nikon in my hand, ready to tell your story.
What I offer:
Music photography - rehearsals, recordings, portraits and concert photos - from individual musicians in intimate venues to large orchestras in even larger concert halls
Headshots, personal branding and business photos - tell your story with headshots, portraits and a bank of images that showcase and celebrate you or your business
Let’s talk about what you need, where you are, and how we can partner to take the best photographs for you.
